Update on the East Neuk Bees!

With the summer months fast approaching, our colony of bees have been able to get out and explore their new home in this warmer weather. Our friendly pollinators have been getting familiar with the bright and colourful surroundings of our little corner of Fife. The Lowland climate is currently allowing all of the bees to get out and explore, for which they need high ambient temperatures. In addition, the wonderful botanicals that are growing in our new and improved Darnley's Gin Garden are being treated to onsite pollination and upkeep! What to do around Kingsbarns

Kingsbarns is in the cultural hub of Fife - surrounded by villages and towns that hold some of the most interesting stories and history at their core. With activities ranging from a secret nuclear bunker to a 10th century cathedral, there is plenty to do in the area. What does it mean to be Lowland?

The Lowland region, as defined by the Scottish Whisky Regulations 2009, runs from just north of Dundee in the east, to just north of Glasgow in the west. It, along with the Highland region, is one of the oldest recognised whisky regions in Scotland and is second largest in land size. By volume, however, Lowland produces the most scotch whisky with the largest grain distilleries in Scotland operating within its boundary and a deep history in blended malts.
