A Peated twist in maturation

We don’t distil peated spirit, but remain true to our Lowland roots of a light spirit (the opposite end of the scale in character from peated spirit). For our peated releases, we rather use casks which have previously been used to mature peated spirit in (and some quite well known peated spirit where we are not allowed to mention the names!). This peatiness is imbued into the spirit from the cask and not from the peated barley, giving a light complexity which perfectly compliments the Kingsbarns character which we are becoming so well-known for.
