DISTILLERY RESERVE 2021 is this years’ release of our limited edition series of this distillery exclusive. Matured in 1st fill ex-Bourbon barrels and 1st fill STR barriques, hand picked by Isabella Wemyss, the result is a fruity, complex and light whisky imbued with sweet spice and orange flavours.
Baking spices immediately to the fore, with orange oil, vanilla pods, cherry tobacco and a touch of apricot.
Sticky stem ginger pudding alongside freshly grated orange zest.
Good length with wood spice, clove and rhubarb and ginger jam.
DREAM TO DRAM
DREAM TO DRAM was crafted under the expert supervision of the legendary Jim Swan. Swan pioneered the method of shaving, toasting and re-charring (STR) red wine casks, and Dream to Dram was the output of such mastery. Aged in a combination of 1st fill ex-bourbon and 1st fill STR ex-Portuguese red wine casks, Dream to Dram is a favourite for us at Kingsbarns.
Banana, pineapple, summer berries.
Soft toffee, custard pastry, redcurrants.
BALCOMIE is a warming and fruity single malt; a result of Isabella Wemyss' masterful cask selection. Aged entirely in ex-Oloroso American oak sherry butts, these casks were chosen by Wemyss for their gentle oak flavours and sherry-rich sweetness to compliment the fruit character of the Kingsbarns spirit. The result is a mouth-watering warming dram.
Treacle, sultanas, fruit loaf, cinnamon icing, dark chocolate, summer berries.
Sweet tinned pineapple, orange peel, cake spice.
Dried apricot, roasted hazelnut.
BELL ROCK is a 2021 limited release, famous for its fruity and spicy notes. Isabella Wemyss hand-selected ex-Oloroao American oak sherry butts from Jerez and ex-Bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill Distillery in Kentucky to age our renowned lowland fruity spirit.
