Pineapple, banana foam sweets, warm custard and caramel, milk chocolate.

Soft salted fudge to start, summer berries (sour cherries and redcurrants).

Ginger and lemon tea.

100% STR barriques

NOSE
Opens up to reveal dried fruit, figs, orange peel and plum syrup. It's jammy! There is a little mint chocolate chip in the background all held together beautifully by a soft vanilla note.

PALATE
The palate begins with spiced marmalade and sultanas soaked in cider brandy. Christmas cake spice in here too.

FINISHLong. The spice note lingers before developing into herbal complexity with menthol and wild sage.

Ex-Peated Barrels 

NOSE
Fresh pears and Galia melon. Delicate, wispy smoke gives it a beautiful coastal edge.

PALATE
Fruit salad of melons and green apple following on from the nose.

FINISH
Subtle peat smoke and just a touch of salt in the finish.

1st fill American Oak bourbon barrels   

NOSE
Portuguese custard tarts mingle with Marzipan, Banana Cake mix and Kiwi Fruit.

PALATE
Creamy vanilla sweetness with zesty citrus notes, key lime pie.

FINISH
Ginger beer and a moreish, drying oak spice lingers.

FOUNDERS' RESERVE 2022

Release No 5 is bottled from spirit using Fife barley and matured in ex-Oloroso American Oak Sherry Butts from the solera system for 7 years.

This is the oldest bottling of this maturation that Kingsbarns has to date. This Single Malt from the family owned Distillery in the Kingdom of Fife has been bottled solely for the pleasure of the Kingsbarns Founders' Club members. After the Kingsbarns spirit has been matured in these casks, the resulting whisky is spicy, fruity and nectarous.

CASK: Ex-Oloroso American Oak Sherry Butts

 ABV: 61.4% Age: 7 years

 NOSE: Marzipan cake, preserved cherries and muscovado sugar

 PALATE: Dark, jammy fruits alongside nougat and thick caramel

 FINISH: Mulled spices, dried apricots and a touch of espresso
