We are very proud to present the first bottle of Founders' Reserve. After a great amount of patience and hard work, Kingsbarns are very proud of their Inaugural Release, and we hope you are too.
Karen Stewart, Director of Marketing, talks about the release: "I’ve been privileged to be involved with Kingsbarns Distillery since the Wemyss family became involved with the project and it was a very proud moment unveiling the Distillery and Visitor Centre way back on St Andrews Day in 2014. It was 12 months later when the Founders’ Club came to life and we are immensely grateful to all those who have become members so far and very much hope that the release of our first Founders’ Reserve bottles will delight everyone. Although it’s very close to Christmas, we hope that we will get all our members bottles shipped out in time. Peter is already working on the second Founders’ Reserve for Summer 2019."
Distillery Manager, Peter Holroyd, discusses the launch: “It gives me great pleasure to announce that we have reached a crucial milestone in our history and released the first Kingsbarns Distillery bottling, the Founders' Reserve exclusive to Founders' Club members. This bottle is, by its very nature, unique, and something the team and I have put an incredible amount of work into. Truly a proud achievement, and tremendously exciting for us all!... It’s not every day that you release the inaugural bottling of malt and I am delighted with the quality of this cask strength Fife Whisky. Slainte Mhath.”

Cask: 1st fill American Oak bourbon barrels
Nose: Pineapple, banana foam sweets, warm custard and caramel, milk chocolate
Taste: Soft salted fudge to start, summer berries (sour cherries and redcurrants)
Finish: Ginger and lemon tea.
