Over the next few weeks, we want to introduce you to some of the fantastic team behind Kingsbarns Distillery. First up is Hannah Peebles, Kingsbarns Brand Manager.
"From as long as I was legally able to drink alcohol, I’ve always loved it. After studying marketing at university, my career started at a Scottish wholesaler who worked primarily with beer and spirits brands but I always knew I wanted to move into the whisky industry. For me, whisky is the lifeblood of our country and I’ve always had such a passionate connection towards it.
Now, I’m the Brand Manager for Kingsbarns Distillery and I genuinely love every single day. My job varies but it all comes down to the same thing: being a guardian of the brand. I develop our brand and its marketing strategy and campaigns, working with our brilliantly talented team to pull all of our ideas together and turn it into an end product. I also have the fun job of managing the development of our products, including packaging, sales and launch materials.
There is something truly captivating about this industry and I’m surrounded by such passionate people. Everyone you talk to feels the same way about this liquid that’s made from three simple ingredients and is then magically turned into this incredible drink. However I believe it's important to break down the whisky misconceptions that are still unfortunately associated with the category. Whisky is for everyone and it is meant to be enjoyed, so you do you and enjoy it however you like. Slàinte!"
